The Athlone Drug Awareness Group were delighted to organise an internal school poster competition along the theme of ‘The Dangers of Substance Abuse’. The standard of the entries were excellent from participating local secondary schools. Adjudication was kindly carried out by a member of the Community Garda Team and the HSE Health Promotion Officer who also availed of the opportunity to talk to the students about the dangers of drugs.
